Dogs — and their humans — will have their day exploring the beautiful trails surrounding Grand Central Park during Bark in the Park, a hike with hounds Saturday, Nov. 4!
The canine-friendly walk is an opportunity for the public to explore the great outdoors and the exceptional, active lifestyle enjoyed by Grand Central Park residents.
Registration will get underway at 8 a.m. Choose from a 1 mile route or 2.5 mile route. Spectators are also welcome!
The walk begins at 9 a.m., taking trekkers through Grand Central Park’s newly opened resident-only nature trails. The loop winds through the gorgeous wooded areas surrounding the community before returning families and their furry Fidos to the starting point.
Putting the “wow” in “bow wow” will be an after “paw-ty” celebrating all things canine.
- Kissing booth featuring adorable pups
- Pet vendors
- Food trucks
- Face painting
- Bouncy house
- Houston Disc Dogs will be in the house with the high-flying antics of their fast and furry athletes.
Proceeds from the event will help local pet organizations continue their mission to promote and provide the resources, education and programs needed to help animals.
To participate in Bark in the Park, dogs should be leashed and wearing their current identification and rabies tags. Female dogs cannot be in heat. No more than two dogs per walker will be allowed.
